Stuff: the Facts: Debt Mathematics for New Zealand
This is crude and inexact, but gives the idea
NZD = New Zealand Dollar
NZ Private Debt (year end 2023): NZD133.66B
NZ GDP (2023): ~NZD400B
NZ Govt Expenditure (FY 2022/23): ~NZD162B
As the government doesn’t create any ‘stuff’, it just extracts and creates debt, even if we removed the parasite:
GDP = stuff + Govt Expenditure,
stuff = GDP - Govt Expenditure = 400 - 162 = ~NZD238B
Private debt : stuff (ratio) = 134 / 238 = 0.54
Note the units: Private debt = $ ; stuff = $/yr
So:
Based on these numbers it would take ~6 months (i.e. 0.5 year) of all the NZDs generated from ‘stuff’ activity in 2023 to repay private debt. Not counting the accrued compounding interest, which doesn’t stop.
No food. No fuel. No transport. No entertainment. No clothing. No holidays.
NO NOTHING.
SIX MONTHS.
TO JUST REPAY PRIVATE DEBT.
NOT STATE DEBT MIND YOU.
THIS
IS
NOT POSSIBLE.

Since the coof borrowings were based on fraud, they can be repudiated. :) that should reduce the blarma somewhat. Now a lackadaisical and bored NZ Army could be put to good use "sifting" compensation from perpetrators in USA, Israel, UK, Canada, South Africa, and Australia. Paid off in 20. :)
When We get free energy tech out in the open, all debt will be pointless...
