My Dear Leo Kiwi - please give me a "moment" to process my relief. You didn't answer my last message so I thought you were mad at me. I feel rather elated that you contacted me! 🤗

Last message? I must have missed it. I will always reply to you - even if I’m raging mad (impossible, just making a point).

I have a saying “you wont die wondering what I think”. Actually a stolen saying - my old political boss Jim Anderton used to say it.

I’ve had a lot on domestically which I can’t sort (DON’T GET CRIPPLED). So I’m not surprised I missed it. Sorry. As I say. I’ll never ignore you.

If you don’t hear from me for a few days just hassle me (what used to take me 2 minutes now takes me 2 days - an exaggeration but…everything is still very constrained though improving). I promise I wont be offended :-).

I LOVE that saying "you won't die wondering what I think!" I was surprised that you didn't at least "snap back" if you didn't like what I said because I was feeling safe enough to say what I thought and I 'knew' that about you - that you're not easily offended and have told me a couple of times to not be bothered for you when I got up on my hind legs about others' betrayals. I don't understand your "(Don't get crippled)" comment but I can understand having a lot on domestically. I'm feeling quite inundated myself - along with most people in the world I think. I'm really thrilled to be "talking" to you again. I haven't been very on-line focussed recently - I saw you wrote an article re: the Barnum and Bailey circus and I just didn't have the time/energy to read it. I've been just deleting substack after substack without reading them as I'm overwhelmed. (Still planning on reading yours though.). I'm having some drama myself with car insurance and them slandering me and cutting me off and no one else wants to touch me (except for the sharks, I gather, who will gladly charge me an arm and a leg and a first born for coverage) because I'm apparently a fraudster! LOL. It's not funny though and has me prostrate for the time being. I really missed you Craig and thought I was not going to hear from you ever again. 🥲. I don't really connect like that with many people, on-line or off-line, so it was a big blow.

This is actually about a different topic but you may be interested. The author claims there are two secret military bases in southern New Zealand and gives approximate locations.

They aren't really bases so much as storage facilities in case of nuclear war. One is in fiordland and the other on northwest Stewart Island. They are naval sites dug into the rock. He says they contain aircraft carriers, etc. He says a third site is on South Georgia island near Antarctica. The tape was recorded in 1982.

You may(?) want to go back to around the 10 min mark to hear the context.

I spoke a little too soon. In the rest of the episode he explains how the Russians destroyed much of the secret fleets during the intrigues of the Falkland war.

Thanks Stephen, this looks interesting. I'd never heard of him, but his background looks fascinating and I see he worked with among others Norman Dodd, who is legendary (to some). I can see this site is going to keep me enthralled for a while.
