Well, You know My take on money. It is a very dangerous and archaic tool. We can put that tool down and pick up far better tools: free energy and robots to do necessary work no One WANTS to do. And care for Our planet with Humanity free.
OMG - that letter! 🤣. Do you think they're actually laughing when they write that shite? I literally LOL'd when I read the "distinction between the amount of cash in circulation and frequency of cash use...." What do you suggest we do with our hoarded cash when it isn't enough to invest in property for instance. Great article BTW.
They are floundering, which is why now is an especially good time to push hard. He should never have replied, certainly as quickly as he did. I think I triggered him. Good to know.
What to do? It's impossible to give good advice. Canada is as bad as here but I don't know your personal situation.
Anything physical, useful, or potentially tradeable would be my general advice; e.g. good quality second hand garden tools are something I like. Or start a business (if done properly--with no debt is a good start-business started during economic collapse can do well). I would be doing this if I was fit.
Silver & gold, which have started moving higher but with what is happening to currencies (dying) will continue imo, have protected people for centuries during economic collapse. Canada is a big producer and has some excellent and valued products. Including old silver coins that were in circulation.
Look at you wielding the triggers and hitting home! Nice work... That's interesting advice. Too bad we're on different continents - I suspect we'd be a great team. I've been doing the food supply thing and I have s&g but I confess I really don't understand how they can be of value in everyday life. Thank you for the link but I really wouldn't know where to start with all that because I don't understand how it will be used. I've been spending the last year and a half getting fit so I can be of use in all kinds of ways. Just got back from the gym - I've been working with a personal trainer in the calisthenics arena after working with a power lifter for a 5 weeks or so. I'm starting to feel very strong and competent and it's a great feeling. I've also changed my diet quite a bit but wow, that's such a mine-field. I really would like to get a piece of land and start building - just not alone though.... I very much appreciate your response. Thank you.
I'm sure we would be a great team, if I wasn't disabled (for now). Currently not much use to any body. s&g will be able to be sold. That's the point. Though you may not get the price you want, the value will never go to zero. Never has. Never will. While very single fiat currency has gone to zero. I'd be very surprised if you can't find someone at a local farmers market or farmer who wont accept it. Remember, all you need it for is to settle a transaction debt. Feel free to communicate via private chat if you want.
So I guess I should have small denominations then? You say s&g will be able to be sold - for what though, unless only for trade. That's one of the places I get stuck. If there's no fiat currency, how do you sell? I'll ask my other questions in the private chat.
That's why old circulating coins are good; for small transactions. Canada has good ones. Lots of silver, but I don't know when you debased and stopped minting silver. Have a look at your local 'TradeMe' equivalent
When you purchase something remember you're also selling the CAD. Every transaction has two sides, a buyer and a seller. But both are buying something. The 'buyer' is buying the item. The 'seller' is buying the dollar. And if you're buying locally and the CAD is not worth anything (e.g. hyperinflation) the other side of the trade may accept old silver coin for small transactions.
Eeks - I just have a mental block on money stuff. My brother was a genius in these things but it makes me dizzy and a little sick to my stomach. I appreciate the help and info and I will follow-up on the link, so thank you for that. We have a big storm on the horizon as well, so I'm feeling a little 'off' at the moment. I hear that silver just might outstrip gold at some point in terms of value as a lot of our technologies are making use of silver and that it's value has been degraded for some secret/manipulative reasons. BTW, I really, really like the explanation about both the buyer and seller being buyers. I've never heard that pov before.
Great work ... thank you
